Terms and Conditions

By placing your order, you confirm you have read and agreed to all of the terms and conditions below.

Payments:

A 40% non refundable deposit of the quoted total price is required before I begin your commission. I will not draw anything until this has been paid and confirmed.
If the deposit has not been paid within 5 working days of you receiving the invoice, I reserve the right to not proceed with the custom.

The final remaining total is due upon completion of the commission, and once you have approved the piece. Payment is due immediately, however I allow a 30 day grace period for payment if required. Once this final payment is paid and confirmed, your portrait will be shipped.

Payment plans will include a personalised full Terms and Conditions direct to you with the invoice, which will outlay the agreed payment dates.

Custom quoted prices given to you will be valid for 7 working days.

Approval Process

Once the portrait has been completed, I will send you a watermarked proof to review before the final payment is made.
Due to the nature of coloured pencils I will not be able to make any major adjustments, but I will try to make any minor ones where possible.

Photograph/References

Before you have paid your deposit, we will have chosen which photo/s will be used for the portrait. For me to provide the best results, the photograph should be clear, high quality and where possible, the original (a copy can lower the file quality).
As is the nature of certain orders (for example, a memorial of a pet) I am aware that you may not have/are able to get ideal photos, if I feel the photos you have are unable to be used I will inform you before any deposit/agreement has been made.

Timing

Please allow 4 weeks from the date the non refundable deposit has been received for me to complete your portrait.
This given time is a guideline, as due to the complexity/size of a piece or any events out of my control there may be delays - in the unlikely event of any delays I will keep in contact with you with updates.

Please note delivery time is not included in the 4 weeks, and will not be sent until final payment has been confirmed.

If you need a portrait by a particular time/event (for example, a birthday present) please ensure you have informed me at the time of booking and allow as much time as physically possible, I cannot guarantee I can finish a piece in too short of a notice.

Postage and Delivery

Postage is included for UK orders.
I am currently only accepting orders in the UK.

The portraits will be sent securely in a safe but beautifully presentable box with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Cancellation / Right to cancel

Once the non refundable deposit has been paid, I will begin on your portrait. At this point if you cancel the order no further costs will be charged, but the deposit will not be refunded.

If for any reason it is myself that needs to cancel the commission, you will receive a full refund of any payments you have made including the non refundable deposit.

Legal Ownership/Rights to share

I reserve full rights to share/display the portrait (including progress previews) on my social medias, website, galleries, promotional materials and any other business requirements.
If you would prefer for me to not share the artwork publicly until you have received/gifted the piece, please let me know at the time of booking and I will be more than happy to keep it offline until it is safe to do so.

Once the commission progress has been completed, you will receive the physical artwork and Certificate of Authenticity - these are yours to gift, display and use in any non commercial forms.
I will retain the copyright, the reproduction rights and any commercial use of the artwork. If you would like to use this piece for any of these purposes, you must get written consent from myself which will cost an agree fee depending on the rights required.
